Back into the blogging world…

30 09 2008

I’ve been out of the blogging world for many reasons… I went to the Desiring God national conference and feel like I haven’t been doing part of what I should do based on my technology background.

I am not theologian, I am no eloquent speaker or writing… I am convicted that my life should be all about the Lord Jesus Christ.  To that end, I plan to get focused on my blogging again and get more consistent.  For those who still stumble on this blog, I really appreciate your patience and prayers.  I have no idea what God has in store but I want to be obedient.

Good for you – I am sure Jesus is smiling down on your re-affirmation of him as King. The kingdom of God is really all there is, in all its fullness and goodness. And it’s there for the taking for all of us. All we need do is believe.

I hope God will forgive me for using the word a** on my blog sometimes, as in kicking a**. If you know what I mean? I get a little exhuberant sometimes, and I do it for laughs too, as my blog is meant ot be of a light-hearted nature. But I never take His name in vain or deny his Almighty omnipotence in all things. I hope he knows I love Him.

I saw your comment on the ACM new blog. Don’t you just love that place! I’m planning on taking my girl there this coming Friday to see that new exhibit.

Thanks for stopping by… I just came back from the Desiring God National Conference which was all about our choice of words. What I would encourage you to do is pray about the use of your words and determine if they are God honoring or if they take the glory away from Him. I really struggle with my use of language (especially in a work environment) so I can completely relate to you and where you are coming from. I think Sinclair Ferguson coined it well at the conference when he said (paraphrased) “the tongue carries the breath of our soul”. If our heart and soul are all about that use of language, that might lead to a different challenge in our life…

I hope God blesses you and what you are trying to accomplish on your blog!

Jason
